Can I use Wondermat outdoors as a playground surface?

There are a lot of definitions for a playground.  Using Wondermat as a play surface depends on what type of activities, equipment, sub-surface and location are planned. Wondermat was intended for indoor use, but it can be used outdoor with several limitations:

1. Wondermat is NOT to be used as fall protection under conventional outdoor play equipment such as swing sets, monkey bars, horizontal bars and other outdoor climbing equipment.

2.  Wondermat foam products, when used in full-sun installations, will loose their color over time. 

3. No Wondermat printed mat (Designer or Coated Series) is suitable for outdoor use.

4. The installation sub-surface for Wondermat should be tile, wood, linoleum, concrete, asphalt or wood decks. Grass, dirt, sand and gravel are not recommended.

Wondermat has been tested in accordance with C.P.S.C. Playground Safety guidelines (ASTM F1292-99, ASTM F355-99) and has a maximum fall-height of 3-feet when used on concrete, so it is not to be used as fall protection under conventional height play structures such as monkey bars, jungle gyms and wood play structures.
