TECHNIQUE: CUTTING YOUR OWN SQUARE EXTERIOR CORNERS

Since our standard corners are cut in a 90 degree circle, which looks great in an Area Mat installation, you may want to use a 90 degree square corner if you are putting your mat in the corner of a room. 

This is easily accomplished by cutting a single piece of straight border to fit into place.  You can cut 2 corners from each border piece.  Here's how to do it: 
1. Interior corner example Starting with a corner without any borders attached, proceed as follows:
2. Install full border pieces Install straight border tiles on two sides of the corner tile.
3. Overlap border tile to be cut Attach additional straight edge to the corner.
4. Use metal ruler to mark cut location Run a metal ruler along the edge of the installed borders and across the straight edge to be cut.
5. Cut the border and snap in place Using a standard utility knife, use the metal ruler as a guide to cut the overlapping border.  This will create your corner.  This is what it will look like this when you are done.
